Kitchen is one place around the home, where furniture is likely to be exposed to water, and will keep on getting wet. So the plywood that we select for making the kitchen cabinets has to have the ability to withstand water.
There are two main types of plywood, out of many, which are mostly used in making home furnitures.
MR grade:
MR grade plywood stands for Moisture Resistant plywood. As the name suggests this plywood has the quality to show resistance towards moisture and dampness. But it CAN NOT BE USED IN KITCHEN as its just Moisture Resistant and not completely water proof. It is also known as Commercial plywood.
